I have a story associated with each picture which i would like to share, but limited time and to make my post short and sweet i will exclude the stories. Stories later but Pictures now.

"Bugshan Hospital" and my uncles surgery

I mentioned earlier that i was busy with my uncle's open reduction for neglected dislocated elbow, Any way we stayed in the hospital for three days. I clicked some over there too :)

Please pray for my uncle's speedy recovery, today he is going to get his bandage from the operation removed and get a new plaster to support the arm.

Whole procedure took more then 6 hours, including three hours of surgery, 1 hour in recovery room.

Workshop

Its been 2 weeks i guess since i have last posted anything. Well last two weeks have been really crazy, very busy in the office and alot of small tasks at home.

A week ago, my car started making really weird sound. Every time the brakes were pressed there was this sound, getting attention of everyone on the road.

Later on it was discovered brake pads needs replacement. Any way getting that done was a whole project and an opportunity to click and capture something new.

Well i took more then 50 pictures , few selected ones are given below , please comment if you like any or if you have any suggestions for improvement.

The guy was organized upto some extent
Always use genuine spare parts.
All the tools were hanging on the wall and in very systematic manner .

It was night time and the pattern of shadow and light was really interesting.

There were like 9 or 10 workshops in line, i wonder how they handle the competition.

Jeddah Corniche

Enjoy Some more pics taken at Jeddah Corniche. Water Level was really high that day and waves were a little bigger then usuall. Saudi authorites have really well maintained this 1 to 2 KM long coast line. With so many activities to do other then fishing and swimming is prohibitted because of so many accidents.

Weekend photography

Well as the title suggest the below pics were taken on weekend that is thursday and friday in Saudi Arab. We had guests from Riyadh and i had quite a busy weekend but still i managed to capture few clicks.
Last weekend all the pics were from balcony and this time maximum were taken from inside the car and in a typical fish restaurent
i will do another post hopefully from the last weekend before next weekend.

Fish restaurent, where you go to the freezer pick your fish and then pay for it and get it cooked from the chef. The best part about the whole experience is that you get to pick your own fish.

Kali Mai

Kali Mai, is a urdu word meaning Black Women. These African ladies are known by their baby push chair along with their colorful clothing (as compared to other women in Saudia who wear black gown outside). These ladies roam the streets of Jeddah in simple sleepers from one garbage Bin to another in search of stuff that can be recycled like soda cans e.t.c. Work hours for these ladies are very flexible mostly from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM . These ladies are actually helping environment. i respect these ladies for their hardwork, Because they choose to work instead of begging( like some of their group).

Below the girl is playing and is in her own world, walking side by side with her mother, she will soon get a push chair of her own.

Valentine and Saudi Arabia

Some interesting facts about Saudi Arab

• On valentine everything red is prohibited to sell.
• Red Flowers are not allowed instead you can buy any other color.
• Straw berry cakes are not allowed as straw berries have heart shape.
• Red heart shape pillow which is kinda trademark of IKEA is not allowed also.
• Any guy wearing red can get arrested or atleast get lectured by state Religious scholars.
• Police check the house of almost every nonmuslim to make sure they are not having a party.
• But you can have all above a day before and after 14th authorities will not mind but nothing on 14th.

Valentine for us is a family day un like they portray in media. I bought gifts for family. As you know red were not available so we got the white flowers pictured below. they were equally expensive and beautiful.
